Corey Olynik
“Helping individuals become more gives me energy,” says Corey Olynik co-founder of Executive Directions, an innovative capacity-building initiative for non-profit leaders (www.executivedirections.org). “The most exciting thing about my work is the expectation that I will ask the tough questions, and look underneath the surface rooting out causes for personal and organizational logjams. Then, I get to watch the breakthroughs.”
A full-time mentor, speaker and leadership coach, Corey walks with a variety of successful leaders. “I’ve worked with achievers in a number of different venues: entrepreneurs, political figures, not-for-profit leaders. Most find themselves trapped ‘in their organization’ and unable to work ‘on their organization.’ Helping people make that transition (that leap!) is my passion.”
Corey’s varied background touches the private, public and non-profit sectors. A former broadcast executive, pastor and strategic advisor to senior political figures, he knows first-hand what it’s like to wrestle with the short and long-term challenges leaders face.
Corey uncovers excuses and demands progress. He sums himself up this way: “I feel best when I see someone’s lights go on.”
