Ten years ago I asked this question here, it still applies: “Did they agree or did you just agree that they agreed?” Think about it…how many times have you left a great team meeting only to find that nothing happens! Don’t assume action, clarify it.

How will you wrap up team meetings in a way that articulates actions, expectations and responsibilities? What question will you ask to get participants to confirm what they’ll do, by when?

I like the tried and true “Who will do What and By-When?” Thanks Cory for the reminder … how often we tend to leave off the most important part as we all head off with a different idea about what needs to be done, who will do it, and when it will be done by!
