Most of us see performance reviews as kin to the report cards we received in elementary school. We re-experience a childhood anxiety best left buried. The truth is, ongoing feedback builds stronger team members and delayed feedback creates defensiveness.

Question:

What changes if you title your performance appraisal sessions “No Surprises” meetings? How do you live up to the headline? How do you shift the way you give feedback? What will you do differently today?
