1954 – 2012

If I were to die today, that’s what you’d read. Hmmmm. Two numbers. Fifty-eight apart.

Is that all?

No. Look closely. There’s a hyphen between those two numbers. My life is that hyphen. That hyphen is the family I’ve been part of, the friendships I’ve shared, the contributions I’ve made, the ideas I’ve had, the mistakes I’ve made and most importantly – the fingerprints I’ve left on the world.

Take a few minutes to think about your hyphen. What does it say? What impact have you had? What fingerprints have you left? What are you going to be (not just do) in the coming days, weeks, years, to define your own unique hyphen?
